about
Hi. I'm Pål, a songgatherer. When I was twenty-two I released an album called Floriography, a kind of diary written in music. I'll soon turn 25, my diary has mostly been about music since then. I was nominated for two Norwegian grammies (Spellemannsprisen) in 2011, had the Vashti Bunyan translation 'Togsang' on national radio for several months, got a huge clump of money from A-ha and toured Europe with my band both as support for Angus & Julie Stone and alone on great festivals such as Reeperbahn, The End of The Road, Iceland Airwaves, Haldern and Træna Festivals. All this was what you would call good times, but after having scavenged too long on friendships, family and my own need to move on, I've decided to hide away for a while now. This song, Thimbleweed, is for you, and for the waiting, while I'm gathering some more. Thank you for lending me your time, I'll be happy to lend you mine again in not too long. Warmth, Pål.
